Commercial Air Conditioning Installation At Crowne Plaza, Gerrards Cross 

About The Project 

We were appointed to carry out a large-scale commercial air conditioning installation as part of a 41-bedroom extension to the Crowne Plaza hotel in Gerrards Cross, near Slough.  

The project ran from April 2025 through to August 2025, completed on time and within budget (a particularly pleasing outcome given the scale and complexity of a live hotel environment).  

This project represents one of the larger commercial contracts we have delivered, and it is a strong example of our capability to operate confidently and professionally on significant commercial schemes alongside other contractors. 

The Scope Of Our Work 

The project involved the supply of labour and materials for the full air conditioning installation across all 41 new bedrooms within the hotel extension. The kit itself was supplied by our client, TK Mechanical, with our team responsible for the complete installation and commissioning of every unit throughout the new wing.  

Working on a project of this scale within a functioning hotel requires careful co-ordination, a disciplined approach to programme management and a team that can work efficiently and tidily in a demanding commercial environment. We delivered on all fronts. 

Working With Midea, A First For Our Team 

The kit specification for this project was Midea, a brand we had not previously worked with. Taking on a new manufacturer's product on a project of this size could have presented challenges, but the experience was a genuinely positive one.  

The Midea system proved straightforward to install, and the commissioning process was refreshingly simple. We were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly that stage of the project went, and it is a testament to the experience and adaptability of our engineers that picking up a new product on a 41-room commercial contract presented no difficulties whatsoever. 

Our Adaptability Across Brands & Specifications 

Whilst we are accredited installers for Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin (two of the most respected names in the air conditioning industry), our engineers have the skills and experience to work across a wide range of manufacturers and system types.  

This adaptability is particularly valuable on commercial projects where the kit specification is determined by the client or main contractor rather than ourselves.  

Whatever the brand or system, the same high standard of installation and commissioning applies on every job we undertake. 

Delivered On Time & Within Budget 

In the commercial construction sector, delivering a project on programme and within budget is the benchmark by which a contractor is ultimately judged. On this project at the Crowne Plaza, Gerrards Cross, we achieved both.  

Starting in April 2025 and completing in August 2025, the installation was carried out across a four-month programme without overrun, giving our client and the main contractor the certainty they needed at every stage of the project. This kind of reliable, professional delivery is what builds long-term relationships with commercial clients and main contractors.

Whilst we are based in Hucknall, Nottingham, and carry out the majority of our work across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands, this project at Gerrards Cross is a good example of our willingness and capability to take on commercial contracts further afield when the right opportunity arises.
